Uganda Scenario
The key aim of the Ugandan scenario, developed by Peter Babigumira with support from Francis Kakooza of Makerere University, is to explore biosecurity and biosafety issues as you work on implementing the International Health Regulations in Uganda. You’ll explore Uganda’s Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response strategy as you develop your career in biorisk management.
UK Scenario
The UK Scenario of ‘Act Like a Pro’ explores dual-use dilemmas in research. It was developed by Dr Frances Butcher from the Oxford School of Public Health, with expert input from Dr Filippa Lentzos, from King’s College London. In this scenario, you will work your way through tricky practical and ethical dimensions of dual use dilemmas in research as you progress through the early stages of your research career.
Argentina Scenario
The Argentinian Scenario of ‘Act Like a Pro’, developed by Javier Rodriguez along with the local expert Leonora Nusblat from the National Administration of Laboratories and Health Institutes (ANLIS-MALBRAN) of Argentina, aims to create awareness about some of the roles a biosecurity and biosafety expert could hold in Argentina. You’ll explore these different roles in a local Argentinian laboratory setting.
